A&A Window Covering (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect through this website and through our services, why we collect it, and how you can reach us about it. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario law.

Scope

This policy covers this website and the personal information we handle as a business — phone, email, WhatsApp, text messages, and in-home consultations and installations. It does not cover third-party platforms: when you contact us through WhatsApp, Google, email providers or social media, those companies handle your information under their own policies, which we do not control.

What we collect

This website has no forms, no ads, no analytics and no advertising or tracking cookies. However, like virtually all websites, it is served through Cloudflare, whose network automatically processes standard technical data — such as IP address, browser type and basic request logs — for security and delivery. We do not use that data to profile visitors.

We receive personal information only when you choose to contact us — for example when you call, email, text, or message us on WhatsApp — or when we visit your home for a consultation. That information typically includes:

  • Your name and contact details (phone number, email or mailing address)
  • Details of your project: window sizes and photos, room, product interests, and quotes we prepare for you
  • Installation and service records, including warranty registrations

With your permission, we may also photograph your windows before and after installation. These photos are used only to document the work and, only if you agree separately, to show our work publicly (for example on this site). Saying no changes nothing about your service or pricing.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, measure and quote your windows, manufacture and install your coverings, provide warranty service, prevent fraud, and keep the business records we are required to keep. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it to market unrelated products.

When we share it

We share personal information only as needed to serve you: with the suppliers and installers who help produce your order, and with delivery partners. Some service providers we rely on — such as our website host (Cloudflare, whose servers may be located outside Canada), email, WhatsApp (Meta) and Google Maps — are operated by third parties in Canada and other countries; contacting us through those platforms, or using this website, means the information involved is also handled under those providers’ own privacy policies and the laws of their jurisdictions.

How long we keep it

We keep customer records — quotes, orders, installation details and warranty registrations — for up to 7 years after the last service, so we can honour warranties and meet tax and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize them. Enquiries that never become orders are deleted within 12 months. Website request logs held by our host are kept under Cloudflare’s own retention schedule.

How we protect it

Your information is kept in secured business accounts, accessible only to team members who need it to serve you. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information — but no method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our website and services are aimed at homeowners, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You may ask us at any time to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, or withdraw any consent you have given (subject to legal record-keeping requirements). We will respond within 30 days. To make a request, contact us by phone or email using the details below.
